With the PS5 now here, the PlayStation support team has set up a few PS5 start up videos (see below) that will come in handy when starting up your PS5 for the first time. Here are some of the recommended settings suggested in the video:
Go to sounds settings to adjust microphone, output, volume, and enable 3D Audio.3D audio works with headphones (not only w/ Pulse 3D) and since everyone experiences it differently, there are different profiles to choose from.
Go to Main settings, accessories and click the controllers tab to adjust Haptic Feedback and Trigger sensitivity for the DuelSense. You will also be able to choose from three power settings: Optimized, Low Power, and Custom. This can be adjusted in the initial setup or anytime afterwards.
Adjust automatic update by going to System then click the System Software tab. Going to System then Power Saving will show the option to allow the PS5 to be turned on remotely through the app or remote play, as well as enable remote play.
The playlist below will also show how to quickly sign into the PS5 not only through the console but through the PlayStation app itself. Changing your online ID has also been simplified, although some charges may apply if not the first time changed.
The playlist also shows how easily data and games can be transferred from the PS4 to the PS5. Whether its directly from a disc, through Wi-Fi, usb drive, external drive, or PS Store, the PS4 to PS5 transferred will be incredibly easy. PlayStation mentions that if you have PS4 game saves in an external drive, that it would be a benefit to leave them there as this will open up more space on the PlayStation 5 console. Amazingly you will be able to use the PS5 during the transfer. Be sure to use the same account in both consoles through this process.
The PS5 Releases November 12, 2020.
